Introduction
Pollution is one of the major problems that is serving threats to Earth. Polluted air is also dangerous to humans so it important to make sure we don’t contaminate our air with dangerous substances that in our past has killed 8,000 people and injured thousands of people in 1984. Although pollution is produced by natural disasters, it is also caused by human activity like improperly disposing of trash. A solution to pollution is to stop littering in the environment, Earth’s defenders is a contraption that presents how easy it is to throw trash into a trash can and properly dispose of the waste product.
Step 1: I have used a 3V rechargeable fan(Electrical energy) to start off my ET machine. This fan produces wind energy that powers up the wind turbine that i made with plastic bottle which pulls the thread that sets the marble to gain kinetic energy and run into a maze. (This step involves Electrical energy -> Wind Energy and potential energy -> kinetic energy)
Step 2: The marble falls into a funnel at the end of the Marble run track and flows through the Archimedes screw (which i have designed with a tube and paper plates) where the marble uses the gravitational energy.
Step 3: At the exit of the Archimedes screw the marble enters an foam tube which pushes an Domino which sets an spring action on a tin can. (Potential Energy -> kinetic energy and potential energy -> Elastic kinetic energy)
Step 4: The Elastic potential energy on the tin can pulls another domino which was stopping the swing on a lego marble track. The swing which gains kinetic energy pushes a marble putting it into kinetic energy. (Elastic potential energy -> kinetic energy)
Step 5: The Marble runs down the track and hits a domino putting it into kinetic energy. The domino falls down pulling the bead chain because of gravitational force.
Step 6: The bead chain puts the series of balls into action. In this step there is a series of chain reactions in which 3 balls in potential energy is set into kinetic energy to activate each other. (Potential energy -> Kinetic Energy)
Step 7: The final ball (considered as trash) gains kinetic energy from the push from the previous step and rolls down the ramp to the trash can.
Step 8: The final step.. the trash falls into the trash bin simultaneously knocking down the popsicle stick that was propped to keep the trash can open which causes the trash can to close.
Taadaa.. It is as simple as this ETM to throw trash in Trash Bin instead of littering our planet.
Let’s see the Energy Transfer machine action steps in a short video..
Here is the final Outcome of my build. This was a successful run after many failures. After every fail i did a few modifications to get here.
Hope you all liked my Energy transfer Machine. Thank you all for your support.
