Hello, my name is Jackson M. I’m a 3rd grader from Osceola Science Charter School. I made a stop motion film that was inspired by the Chinese five energies philosophy (五行WǔXíng). I learned that energies had all kinds of connections with each other. If you used them right, they gave you good results. But if you used them wrong, they could cause a lot of damage to the earth.

🎞️Behind the scenes🎞️
First, I gathered all the materials for the background. I recycled some old stuff I found at home. I cut off a cardboard box, and painted the background. Next, I decorated with some fairy garden decorations. Then, I selected the characters from my old toys, and I made them new costumes out of clay.
To make stop motion videos, you have to make sure that everything stays in place, while only the main subject is moving. Between each picture, you only move the subject a little bit at a time. It was very challenging for me at first, but I didn’t give up and learned a lot from this experience.
My favorite part of making the film was watching my toys become alive, and I was very proud to share my hard work to everyone. I hope you like the film as much as I did. Thank you.
