We chose the animal, a lizard, because we think they are interesting and we like them. We wanted to make a home where we could keep the lizards we caught at school for a few days, enjoy and release.
Mrs Mentillo helped us cut out the top of the cottage and she helped us find the container.
We repurposed the plastic container that made the encloser and the sticks that made the sunroof and bottle caps that made the food container and the bed.
We used a plastic container, popsicle sticks, hot glue, bottle caps, dowels, sticks, sand, rocks, grass, wool, marbles, cardboard, paint, gray marker and a wood ball
Lizards are one of our favorite animals
This lizard was safe and happy.
A plastic container would only be keeping your lizard alive for a short time so if you want to play with it for two weeks this cottage would be the right choice.
