Materials used include: one RayCatcher solar panel, four reused cut wood dowels, one 10.5 x 4 inch piece of wood, one 5.25 x 2 inch piece of wood, two large wheels, two small wheels, two axles, one cut magenta straw, one cut white straw, one large gear, one tiny gear, 1 piece of styrofoam, white paint, and magenta paint*
*all materials were either reused or provided by the school, therefore costs are unknown
I have never seen anything put on the bottom of a solar panel before. It reminded me that if we could put solar panels up above the clouds, rain is no longer an issue. I was impressed with its performance. Great teamwork!
The clouds and lightning bolt are a great design element. It also looks nice and light weight. Do you have plans to add a way to connect it to a guide wire for races?
